Congratulations to our Executive Director, Joyce Parkinson, for recently winning the Dancing with the Dignitaries contest. DWD was hosted in Memphis, TN in conjunction to the 18th Annual Stone Awards. There were three styles of dance: Salsa, Chicago Stepping and Detroit Ballroom. Joyce’s style of dance was Salsa.
In addition to audience voting on their performance, participants sold tickets to the competition and encouraged their friends and family to support their pictures and statuses on social media. The winner received the pictured trophy and bragging rights of learning a genre of dance in three weeks of practice! Congratulations to our executive director and queen dignitary!
