Domestic violence has no race, gender, sexual orientation, age or educational status. It is also not specific to celebrity status, religion or sports affiliations. We see and hear about it everywhere. For the purposes of this blog, the focus is being placed on sports. Specifically, the NFL.
While I believe that domestic violence issues have been part of the sports arena for quite some time, no case has been quite so publicized as the now infamous Ray Rice 2014 elevator video. I will not post it here, but I’m sure you can YouTube it should you feel the need to watch it. Since then, all eyes were heavily watching the management of the NFL to see how it would respond to this issue. And, going forward, how it would handle future cases as they arise.
