pastor thomasWIANL recently had the awesome opportunity to work with Marron Thomas as part of the Born2Win Collaborative’s DV Community Summit. He’s an extremely humble man who wears many hats. He’s the Pastor of Innovation Church Center and Executive Director of Leadership Empowerment Center. This dedicated husband and father can be actively working within the Frayser community and beyond, with a message that is relevant to the times, not boastful or arrogant and taught in a way in which we can all relate. Because of his humble spirit and hands on approach to reaching the community, he now has multiple services,  a W.O.W.  Children’s ministry and  INzone student ministry.

One of the things that has stood out most for us is his openness and insights regarding domestic violence, what he’s seen, what he’s heard and his willingness to become more involved to help spread the word regarding advocacy. He acknowledges that it is a problem within the faith based community, and he’s not afraid to address it and work with organizations such as ours to bring about more awareness and education. It is continuously said that the church, specifically the pastors or those in leadership, do not want to talk about it for a number of reasons. It is refreshing to see the growing number of those in religious leadership step up and speak out. Pastor Marron is one such man. We respect his position as Pastor and the fact that uses that position to share with his congregation and other forums that domestic violence is wrong, unacceptable and that you/your life is worth more than being subjected to abuse.

Thank you, Pastor Marron, for being a man against domestic violence. We look forward to working with you again very soon.
