Our 2012″s Mens Brunch ended on a high note with keynote speaker, Joe Hunter. Rev. Hunter, who’s affectionately known to everyone as “Uncle Joe’, is the founder of G.A.N.G. Inc.
G.A.N.G., Inc. is a year round youth enrichment ministry in the Frayser community of Memphis TN. G.A.N.G. was established in 2004. It provides an alternative for youths, ages 12-18, from joining street gangs and from being involved in drugs, sex, and violence. And, while his focus isn’t on domestic violence specifically, we all know and recognize its relevance in the work that he does. His address to our attendees was educational, insightful and clearly articulated.
Prior to the event, Uncle Joe shared his insights with a reporter from The Commercial Appeal. We invite you to check out the following article, and appreciate Uncle Joe for his continued proactive commitment to the community.
